Big Cat Rescue: Carole Baskin's Six Non-Profits and One For-Profit

Subject: Six non-profits and one for profit for Carole Lewis Baskin
Source: Sunbiz.org

Why would Carole Lewis Baskin, CEO of Big Cat Rescue, need six non-profits and one for profit?

The only clue we can find regarding all these non-profits is a brief note in Carole's daily notes on 04/15/2001 that reads, "...applied for tax free status on Return to Eden and Wildlife on Easy Street so that neither have to pay property tax, nor sales and use tax." Could it have something to do with saving or hiding money?

Information from Sunbiz.org

  • Wildlife on Wings (for profit)
  • Wildlife on Easy Street
  • Return To Eden
  • Big Cat Haven
  • Big Cat Rescue and Sanctuary
  • Big Cat Rescue
  • Big Cats

With the exception of Big Cat Rescue Corp, all of the officers listed for these six non-profits are relatives of Carole Lewis Baskin; her mother, father and daughter. BCR lists Cathy Mayeski and Brian Czarnik in addition to the family.
